Badminton is far more than just a sport to Malaysians — it is part of our national identity. From the era of the Sidek brothers to the current generation of Lee Zii Jia and Aaron Chia, the biggest names in Malaysian badminton have always been the talk of kopitiams, workplaces, and everywhere in between. mykad888 understands how deeply this sport is woven into Malaysian life, which is why our platform delivers the most comprehensive badminton coverage among local online betting platforms.
When All England rolls around every early March, mykad888 becomes the busiest destination for Malaysian badminton fans. Betting traffic during this tournament typically surges three to four times higher than a regular event — a clear sign of how closely local fans follow every match. You can back the overall winner in each category well before the tournament begins, or wait for live matches to take advantage of better in-play odds.
In-play betting is the feature most loved by experienced players at mykad888. Badminton is an incredibly dynamic sport — a player can completely turn a match around within just a few rallies. If your chosen player or pair is trailing in the first set but you believe they can stage a comeback, the odds in the second or third set are usually far more favorable than they were before the match began. Deep knowledge of a particular player's playing style can give you a significant edge when making smarter betting decisions.
The Thomas Cup and Uber Cup are among the highest-volume betting events on mykad888 every two years. When Malaysia reaches the finals, the total stakes placed can hit record highs. Malaysian fans have an intimate understanding of the national squad's strengths, and that local knowledge often translates into a real edge when reading the odds. Bettors who follow squad developments closely — who is in peak form, who has just returned from injury — consistently make sharper betting calls.
Mykad888 also provides full coverage of the Malaysia Open and Malaysia Masters — two major tournaments held at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur. Playing in front of a home crowd often gives local players a psychological edge, a factor that is frequently not fully reflected in the opening odds offered by the platform. This creates solid value opportunities for bettors who understand this dynamic.
Beyond traditional match winner betting, mykad888 also offers a wide range of badminton-specific markets. You can bet on the total number of sets in a match, whether the match will go to a deciding third set, the exact score of the first set, total points across the entire match, and much more. These markets give strategically minded bettors more options to approach badminton betting with greater depth.
For deposits and withdrawals, mykad888 supports all major Malaysian payment methods including Touch 'n Go eWallet, GrabPay, Boost, ShopeePay, DuitNow, and FPX online banking via Maybank2u and CIMB Clicks. All transactions are processed quickly — deposits go through in under 3 minutes and withdrawals are completed just as fast. No hidden fees apply to any of the payment methods offered.
The mykad888 interface is fully optimised for smartphones, making it easy to follow badminton matches and manage live bets on the go or from anywhere. Real-time notifications are also available to alert you when your favourite match is about to start or when odds shift to more attractive values.

Over 30 markets per major match — your strategy, your call
The most straightforward market — pick the player or pair you believe will win the match. Perfect for beginners and experienced bettors alike who want a direct, no-frills wager.
Give or receive a set head start. Useful when there is a clear gap in ability between two players — allowing you to get better odds by backing the underdog with a handicap advantage.
Predict whether the match will be decided in 2 sets (straight games) or go the distance to a 3rd set (decider). A popular market for matches between players of closely matched rankings.
Place bets while the match is in progress. Odds shift in real time based on the live score and match momentum — the best opportunities often arise when the underdog takes an early lead in a set.
Predict the exact score for the first set or the overall match result (e.g. 2-0 or 2-1). Odds are higher than standard bets, making it ideal for players who study game patterns closely.
Bet on which player or pair will win the entire tournament before it begins. Odds are far higher than per-match betting — a chance at a big payout for a small stake.

A minor injury to the wrist, shoulder or knee can drastically affect a player's performance. News that hasn't yet made the rounds can create strong value opportunities before the platform adjusts its odds.
Some players have remarkably strong or poor head-to-head records against certain opponents, regardless of what the world rankings suggest. Always check previous head-to-head statistics before making your betting decision.
When a match goes into the third set, in-play odds tend to be more volatile and can offer better value. Composed players who perform well under pressure often shine in deciding sets — a factor worth considering when making your pick.
Players competing across multiple categories (such as doubles and mixed doubles), or those returning from a grueling tournament schedule, may show a dip in performance. Always review a player's full match schedule before placing large bets.
